The Rise of AI Orchestrated Audio — ANA Webinar Recap

Audio isn't just a voice. It's a full production.

“AI audio” often gets confused for simple text-to-speech, but a great ad layers script, voice, music, ambiance, and sound design, and each layer shapes how the message lands. The real opportunity is AI that orchestrates every layer. This was demonstrated by two demos played during the webinar. The first was a voice-only ad, then the same ad with music, sound effects, and mastering, all produced by AI. The difference was obvious. Have a listen:

Audio works. Production is what's holding it back.

Audio makes up about 25% of ad-supported media consumption but receives less than 9% of ad spend (Nielsen; WARC, eMarketer). The problem is production. Tailored creative has always been slow, expensive, and dependent on specialists, so most advertisers make one version and run it everywhere. AI changes that: teams can now create tailored messages for every audience in minutes, at a cost that fits any budget, without needing to be audio professionals.

The three levels of AI in audio

  • 1.

Know. Context should shape the creative from the start, not get added at the end. The brief, the listening context, and the brand guardrails all become structured inputs.

  • 2.

Produce. One idea, made for every context it lands in. The message, brand voice, and claim stay fixed. What adapts is the audience, the moment, the placement, the listening environment, live signals like weather or product stock levels, and what has already worked. Producing hundreds of versions by hand isn't realistic, but with AI running the whole production chain, it is. And relevance pays off: 76% of weekly podcast listeners say they've acted on an ad they heard (Edison Research, The Podcast Consumer 2026).

  • 3.

Learn. Performance data feeds into the next brief, so evidence replaces assumption, and each campaign starts from a better baseline.

Together, these levels form the audio flywheel: analyse existing creative, brief using audience and media data, compare predicted results with real performance, and feed what you learn back in. Each turn makes the next campaign smarter, and that knowledge belongs to the brand.

What this unlocks for brands

Orchestrated audio creates new opportunities:

  • •

Audio activation: a fast, affordable way in for brands new to audio

  • •

Outcome-driven DCO: dynamic creative that optimizes for campaign outcomes, not just delivery

  • •

Audio for video: audio personalized for each viewer and context

  • •

New formats: interactive audio, branded content and more

  • •

Existing assets to audio: static radio ads become dynamic, and display banners become audio campaigns

Hear the power of static audio made dynamic here with a standard radio spot, then the same ad localized with a dealer callout at the end. The creative was the same, but the call to action was now specific to where the listener was. Listen here:

AI in audio for everywhere a brand needs a voice

AI can give a brand a voice wherever it needs one: a custom voice used across all brand communication, inflight travel content, and data-driven creative such as Campbell's weather-inspired ads. This campaign showed creative automation across live events:

How two advertisers used agentic audio

Wella Nioxin x Azerion: 100 ads, 24 UK locations, 70% listener action

Azerion used AudioStack to turn a single Nioxin Pro Clinical creative into 100 broadcast-ready versions, covering two audience personas across 24 UK locations. 70% of exposed listeners took, or intended to take, action. Recall rose 21 points, and awareness rose 22 points.

Leading US home improvement retailer: $576k in additional sales

The team created 1,540 hyperlocal ads in English and Spanish for 385 stores in three days. The campaign brought in more than $576k in additional sales, a 7.2% rise in incremental sales and a 4.7% rise in footfall.

The bottom line

Audio already has reach, attention and listeners who act. What it has lacked is a way to make every ad relevant to the person hearing it. AI orchestration fills that gap by understanding the context, producing for it and learning from every campaign. Brands that build this flywheel now will have a lasting advantage.
